2024 Dodge Charger Launches with Electrifying Options and Potent Gas Variants

Dodge has officially unveiled the 2024 Charger, transforming the iconic muscle car into an electric powerhouse with the introduction of the Charger Daytona, featuring an innovative Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system to deliver an artificial yet thrilling sound experience The Charger Daytona EV will be offered in two main trims: the R/T, producing 456 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque with an EPA-rated range of 317 miles, and the Scat Pack, boasting 590 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque with a 260-mile range Both trims are equipped with a 100.5 kWh battery pack and include the Direct Connection Stage Kit upgrades, providing 40 horsepower for the R/T and 80 horsepower for the Scat Pack in the first year of production. Additionally, a gas-powered twin-turbo 3.0-liter 'Hurricane' six-cylinder Charger, named Sixpack, will launch next year offering 420 horsepower in its standard form and 550 horsepower in the high-output version While the company acknowledges that range and efficiency are not priorities for this initial EV model, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis also speculated on the possibility of future police-specification Chargers, a nod to the significance of this market segment, which could include the new electric models complementing existing electric options from competitors like Ford's F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E.
