BMW has announced a significant $2.8 billion investment to enhance its Shenyang production facility in China, emphasizing the company's commitment to electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing This investment aligns with a previously signed letter of intent with the Liaoning province and involves the production of the innovative Neue Klasse (New Class) model family Starting in 2026, the Chinese joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) will begin producing a model from the Neue Klasse series, which will incorporate advanced battery packs characterized by large-volume round cells.
