GM's Electrification Strategy and Chevrolet Equinox Plus Reveal

In a significant push towards electrification, GM's CEO Mary Barra revealed the company's multi-pronged strategy, which now includes a focus on plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) alongside pure electric vehicles During the Beijing Auto Show, GM took the wraps off the Chevrolet Equinox Plus, a PHEV that's part of an expanding Equinox lineup alongside its EV and standard gas-powered counterparts The Equinox Plus is designed with a combination of a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine coupled with a 188-horsepower electric motor, and it's powered by an LFP battery. Keeping in line with environmental goals, GM is targeting a complete transition to electric vehicles by the year 2035, emphasizing its commitment to sustainable transportation.
