The Mini Aceman: Mini's New All-Electric Urban Crossover

Mini has introduced its latest all-electric model, the Mini Aceman, a compact urban crossover designed to slot between the traditional Cooper hatchback and the larger Countryman The electric crossover, which is set to hit the markets in China, Europe, and the UK, emphasizes a balance between practicality and urban agility, standing at 4,075 mm in length, 1,754 mm in width, and 1,495 mm in height The Aceman forgoes a gasoline-powered option, symbolizing a shift towards electric mobility for the brand. It will be available in two versions: Aceman E and Aceman SE, offering different power outputs, battery capacities, charging capabilities, and up to 252 miles of electric range depending on the variant The Aceman E features a 42.5-kWh battery and a single electric motor producing 181 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque, achieving a 0-62 mph time of 7.9 seconds The sportier Aceman SE, on the other hand, comes with a 54.2-kWh battery and an electric motor outputting 214 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, clocking 0-62 mph in 7.1 seconds. The design of the Aceman closely follows the 2022 concept vehicle, boasting a minimalist and customizable interior with various personalization options across three individual trims The newest member of Mini's electric vehicle family maintains its commitment to a purist design and innovative space solutions Though pricing and availability in the US are still under wraps, production will initially take place in China by Spotlight Automotive, a joint venture between the BMW Group and Great Wall Motor, with the Mini plant in Oxford, UK set to start manufacturing in 2026.

The vehicle's dimensions make it approximately 9 inches shorter than the discontinued Chevrolet Bolt EUV, aiming to cater to drivers looking for an efficient yet stylish electric urban crossover.
